SIAC football: Albany State dominates CAU

Albany State shut out Clark Atlanta 35-0 to improve to 3-1 on the season. Clark Atlanta fell to 1-3 on the season. Albany State has now beat CAU in ten out of the last eleven games between the two schools,

Albany State lead 17-0 going into halftime after touchdown runs by QB Dionte Bonneau and RB Kam Ward. Bonneau finished game 10-14 for 114 yards and added 78 yards on the ground.

The 2nd half saw Albany State go on 3 long scoring drives that all led to touchdowns The first drive saw Dionte Bonneau hit WR Joe Shorter to increase the lead to 23-0. The next two drives saw short touchdown plunges by running backs Kam Ward & Daveon Sanders which led to the final margin of 35-0.

Albany State hosts Miles College next week. Clark Atlanta will host Tuskegee in Head Coach Wilie Slaters first contest against his former school.
