Clark Atlanta men’s basketball team won their 7th straight game over the weekend. CAU defeated Morehouse 70-62 in first installment of the Battle of The AUC. 1,200 spectators filled Epps gymnasium on Saturday to see the contest. Morehouse came in 2nd place in theconference while CAU came with the 3rd place conference record.

The two teams fought a back and forth contest for the first ten minutes of the first half. The 2nd 10 minutes saw CAU race out to a commanding 37-23 halftime lead. The 2nd half saw Morehouse get the deficit below 10 points more than once. However CAU was able to constantly pull away when need be which led to a final score 70-62.

Shemani Fuller led CAU in scoring with 15 points. Andrew Stewart also dropped 14 points for CAU. Cedric Taylor III Lee all scorers with 17 points. Taylor also pulled down 12 rebounds to achieve a double double.
