Morehouse down Clark Atlanta 20-17 in a season ending contest for both teams. With the win Morehouse captured their first win of the seaso to finish 1-9. CAU finished the season at 3-7. The contests attended by over 9,000 spectators was the last game for longtime Morehouse Head CoachRich Freeman. Freeman resigned following the games end and ended his 15 year run as head coach.
Morehiuse got on the board first with a block punt scoop and score by Donavan Parks to end the first quarter. Morehouse held on to a 7-0 lead until a CAU got a 2nd quarter 14 yard field goal by Quintan Claudio. First ended with Morehouse leading 7-3.
Morehouse took an early 14-3 lead in the 3rd quarter after a 23 yard run by running back Derrach West. CAU struck back with a 11 yard run by quarterback Shariff Brown to bring the score to 14-10.
The 4th quarter saw CAU take a 17-14 lead after another touchdown run by quarterback Shariff Brown with 2:15 left in the game. A long kickoff return would set up Morehouse on the CAU 43 yardline. A 5 play 43 yard drive was capped by a 1 yard touchdown run by Earnest Davis with 45 seconds left , and give Morehouse a 20-17 victory.
For CAU running back Daquon Kincey led all rushers with 15 carries for 130 yards. CAU quarterback Shariff Brown had a game high 12 competitions for 155 yards. Devan McCoy from CAU and Marqueiz Pride from Morehouse both had a game high of 6 receptions.
