South Carolina State Lady Bulldogs defeated Coppin State 63-61 on Saturday. South Carolina State led by as much 20 points leading 42-23 at halftime. Coppin trailed 34-52 heading into the 4th quarter. Coppin outscored SCSU 27-11 in the 4th quarter to lose the game in the final seconds for a final score of 63-61. Coppin fell to 4-16 while SCSU got their second win of the season to improve to 2-19. Both schools have one win in the MEAC.

Jewelry Watkins led Coppin with 25 points and 9 rebounds. South Carolina State was led by Nicole Gwynns game high 26 points. Gwynn also grabbed 7 rebounds.
