Howard University men’s basketball team topped Norfolk State 65-64 on Saturday. With the win The Howard Bison clinched the MEAC title and a trip to the NCAA basketball Tournament. Norfolk State was looking for their 3rd straight MEAC title, while Howard won their first conference title since 1992. The 2023 MEAC Tournament was held at the Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia.

Howard finished the season with a 22-12 record including an 11-3 conference record. Howard will now face University of Kansas in a first round match up in the NCAA Tournament. Coach Kenneth Blakeney in only his 3rd season has the Bison in position for the foreseeable future.
