Several hbcus competed in the Georgia Tech Invitational on Saturday. The invite featured schools from The MEAC, SWAC, CIAA and SIAC… Tuskegee, FAMU, South Carolina State, & Claflin all competed in the 2 day event held in Atlanta..

FAMU , South Carolina State, Claflin& Tuskegee finished with several top ten finishes. FAMUs women's 4×100 relay finished in first place with a time of 45.43… Lauryn Hall from FAMU finished 8th in the 100 meters with a time 11.62. Teleda Williams from FAMU finished 3rd in the 400 meters at 54.43. FAMU's women's 4×400 caught a 6th place finish while Tuskegee women's 4×400 finished 9th. Mia Heard from FAMU finished 8th & 9th in the long jump & triple jump respectively.

On the men’s side Kristopher Brown from SCSU finished 7th in the 200 meters at 21.58. SCSUs 4×100 relay finished fourth with a time of 40.74. Claflin and FAMU's 4×400 teams both captured top 10 finishes with Claflin playing 4th. Forest Booker from FAMU finished 4th in the triple jump.
