Clark Atlanta basketball closed out the year with a men’s & women's double header against Tuskegee. Tuskegee women dominated CAU 83-47 to improve to 6-1 on the season while CAU dropped to 2-6 on the season. Tuskegee men's basketball team defeated Clark Atlanta 72-60 in overtime to improve to 7-3 on the season. Clark Atlanta fell to 1-7 on the season.
Tuskegee women jumped out to an early 18-4 lead in the first quarter and lead 40-16 at halftime then coasted to a 83-47 victory. Tuskegee was led by Ashiala Jackson's game high 19 points. Tuskegee's Nadia Thorman Jackson had a double double scoring 12 points and grabbing a game high 13 rebounds. JuToreyia Willis also had a bdouble scoring 18 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Willis also dished out 8 assists for Tuskegee.
The men's contest saw Tuskegee and Clark Atlanta play a back forth battle before going to overtime. In overtime Tuskegee outscored CAU 10-3 to walk away with a 72-65 win. Devin Booker led Tuskegee with 20 points. Tuskegee's balanced attack featured 4 players in double figure scoring. CAU was led by Jalen Williams 22 points and 11 rebounds. G'Warren Douglas also hit for 22 points to lead CAU.
