The Howard Bison defeated the Alabama A&M Bulldogs 31–24 in the Cricket MEAC/SWAC Challenge Kickoff on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at Center Parc Stadium in Atlanta.
Howard quarterback Ja'Shawn Scroggins took home MVP honors, throwing for 322 yards and 3 touchdowns—including a game-winning 51-yard touchdown pass to Se'Quan Osborne with 2:41 remaining in the fourth quarter. The victory extended the MEAC's all-time series lead over the SWAC to 13–7.
