Hbcus competed in the Emory Spring Break Classic over the weekend. Clark Atlanta, Albany State & Talladega College competed with impressive results.
Albany State's men took home first place in the 4×100 relay. The team of Demario Jackson, Jace Weaver, Sanaljay Bentley, and Amos Oruamabo got a first-place finish with a time of 40.70.
Albany State claimed the top two spots in the 800 meters. Rayshawn Goodman led the way with a first-place finish in 1:55.14. Bangally Touray followed closely behind in second at 1:55.66
The Clark Lady Panthers sprinter Aniylah Whiting, won the 100-meter dash title with a time of 11.99 seconds.
Jada Hyman from Clark Atlanta got a first-place finish in the 400m with a time of 56.29 seconds.
Lady Panthers 4x200-meter relay team of Jada Hyman, Aniylah Whiting, Anniyah Williams, and Karon Warren secured a first-place finish with a time of 1:39.66.
Talladega College 4x400 relay team of JaQualan Whitaker Kaleb Tankard Anthony Gentles Jaedon Chambers finished second with a time of 3:16:49
