The Albany State Golden Rams opened the 2025 football season in commanding fashion, defeating Shaw University 51-7 at Durham County Memorial Stadium.

Albany St. jumped out to a quick 17-0 lead in the 1st quarter. A touchdown throw and run by QB Isaiah Knowles would put ASU up early.

Cam Watts from ASU electrified the crowd with a 90-yard kick off return touchdown to end the 1st half. Albany State jumped out to a commanding 31-7 lead at halftime.

The 2nd half saw Albany State QB Isaiah Knowles score his 3rd touchdown of the day. Touchdown runs by Tiant Wyche & Roderick McCray would give ASU a 51-7 win.
