Fayetteville State womens basketball team met up with Clayton State in a non-conference game on Saturday. The CIAA verse Peachbelt match up took place at Clayton State University.

Fayetteville State secured an impressive 81-62 victory over the Clayton State Lakers on the road Saturday. The victory brings the Broncos to a 3-3 record for the season, while the Clayton State fell to 2-4.

Fayetteville State's bench contributed 46 points to the victory. Talia Trotter led the Broncos with 18 points, four assists. Nyah Wilkins scored adouble-double off the bench with 12 points and 11 rebounds, while Daziyahna Wilson added 11 points.

Fayetteville State recorded 17 assists. On the defensive end , Fayetteville State scored 24 points off 24 turnovers. Fayetteville only led 36-32 at half but outscored Clayton State 45-30 in the 2nd half with a flurry of fast break points. Fayetteville State returns to action on November 29th against Florida Southern.
