Clark Atlanta defeated Morehouse 48-45 in a Saturday night thriller. Over 5700 fans packed Panther Stadium in Atlanta. The game dubbed “The Battle of The Big cats did not disappoint.

Clark Atlanta got off to an early 21-0 lead in the 1st quarter with touchdown runs by Jalen Samuels and Donte MCcall. CAU quarterback Xavier Jackson linked up with Ronnie West for a TD pass.

The 2nd quarter saw the teams combinefor 38 points. Morehouse quarterback Miles Scott threw two touchdown passes and had an eleven yard touchdown run. Clark Atlantas Xavier Jackson threw two touchdown pass. CAU also got a 30 yard field goal by Carlos Lopez. At halftime CAU led 38-21.

The 3rd quarter saw both teams exchange touchdowns with CAU maintaining the lead 45-28 heading into the 4th quarter. The 4th quarter saw Morehouse QB Miles Scott threw two more touchdown passes. Morehouse cut the lead to 48-45, however CAU was able to run the clock out to get the victory.

Morehouse QB Miles Scott complete 20-41 passes for 344 yards and 4 touchdowns. Scott also lead Morehouse with 14 carries for 134 yards and two touchdowns. Clark Atlanta QB Xavier Jackson completed 25-35 passes for 298 yards and 3 touchdown passes.
