Basketball in the AUC got underwover. NAIA affiliated Talladega College visited Morehouse on Wednesday night. The Maroon Tigers edged The Tornadoes from Talladega 61-54 in a tightly contested contest.

The first ten minutes of the game belonged to Morehouse as they took an early lead & held on to it until roughly ten minutes left in the half. The second ten minutes of first half had Talladega take charge, and take a 35-30 lead into halftime.

The 2nd half was a back and forth pendulum with both teams trying to establish their dominance. Big three pointers by the Stewart twins of Morehiuse would end up being the difference as Morehouse pulled away late in the game to earn a 61-54 home opening win. Elijah Stewart from Morehouse lead all scorers with 20 points.
