Benedict College the number 8 team in the Division 2 poll lost 84-88 to Clark Atlanta in overtime on Saturday. Benedict came into the game with a perfect 13-0 record. CAU came into the game with 9-3 over record and 4-3 conference record.

The teams played a relatively close game for the 1st and 2nd half. Clark Atlanta led 45-41 at halftime time. The 2nd half saw Clark Atlanta stretched the lead to as much as ten points. Benedict was able to claw back and get the game to overtime at 82-82.

The overtime period saw Benedict get outscored 6-2 by Clark Atlanta. CAUnwas able to walk away with a 88-84 home win.

Clark Atlanta was led by leading scorer Chris Martin who was 10-15 for 32 points and 8 rebounds. The Stewart twins Elijah & Andrew scored 19 & 11 points respectively for Clark Atlanta. For Benedict Brandon Beidleman led 5 Tigers in double figures with 18 points. Tim Moore & Ashanti Price scored 16 & 15 points respectively.
