For the second year in a row the 2025 Hbcu Softball Invitational was held in Covington, Georgia. The Leonard Moody Softball Invitational featured teams from the SWAC, MEAC, CIAA, SIAC and the CAA.

SWAC teams included Jackson State, Alabama A&M, Southern, FAMU, & Prairie View A&M, Alcorn St, & Grambling. For the CAA Hampton & North Carolina A&T participated. The MEAC slate featured Howard, Coppin & University of Maryland Eastern Shore &North Carolina Central. Claflin and Fort Valley State represented for thr CIAA & SIAC respectively
